Is It Time Yet?

This is my first Spring 2012 item. She is one of my newest vignette's that I have been doing. This precious rabbit momma is taking a stroll to her garden to see if it's time to start planting. Course to her dismay it's still snowing. She has all her seed packets lined up neatly in a little wooden box, just waiting to be spread in the new soil.

She sure was surprised to find two leftover vegetables from the previous year that have survived the snow and are still good, which will be added to her winter stew she's making for her wee ones.

This design is 10" tall and the wooden base measures 5" wide by 3 1/2" long. Her body was created from cloth and she wears a blue white polka dot dress and a blue woolen coat which is held on with one vintage rhinestone button handstitched on.

Her blue straw hat was tied on tightly and underneath her chin. Momma's arms were wired and she has a separately attached head with perfect sculpting on her face. She has separately handstitched eyelids and wired ears. Her brown eyes were handdrawn on using artist's colored pencils. She has whiskers and a brown handstitched on nose.

She holds a handmade carrot with greens and a head of lettuce. She rests on faux snow sprinkled green/brown grass. Lastly she was sprinkled with German Glass Glitter and Mica Flakes for glistening snow effect. This design was stained and comes signed/dated as an original, one of a kind collectible design.
